Malala Yousafzai has announced a donation of $50,000 to help rebuild a united Nations Relief and Works Agency and other schools which got damaged during the recent fighting in Gaza.
The donated $50,000 is an award price of the World's Children Price in Stockholm which Malala won.
Malala in her appreciation address said it was an honour for her to donate the money to the United Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refuges in Gaza. That the children of Gaza deserve quality education, hope and real opportunities to build a future.
The fund will assist in building up to 65 schools damaged during the conflict.
The Commissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, Pierre Krahenbuhl has on behalf of the agency written to thank Malala.
