Prince Philip, husband to Queen of England now uses hearing aids

Prince Philip, husband to the Queen of England now uses double hearing aid.

It is not known how long the 93-year-old Duke has worn the hearing aids. They only became noticeable because of a thin wire next to each ear.

Despite a string of health concerns in recent years, he continues to belie his years and carries out several official engagements.

In June 2013, he had an abdominal surgery and spent 11 days at the hospital.  In 2011 he was fitted with a coronary stent after experiencing chest pains at Sandringham.

Yesterday, he accompanied the Queen to a reception for war heroes of  the Australian Special Forces and New Zealand Special Air Service.

The palace has refused to comment on Prince Philip’s hearing aid stating that it is a private medical affair.
