Newcastle United fan falls in front of a moving train on his way to watch his favourite team

A Newcastle United fan Darren White is presently fighting for his life after falling in front of a moving train on his way to support his team.  Darren White suffered horrific injuries after collapsing on a platform at Bexleyheath Station, London, on Sunday morning - hours before Toon's visit to Tottenham Hotspur's White Hart lane stadium.

The 41-year-old caretaker, of Peterlee, County Durham, is believed to have lost toes, has a broken leg, a shattered pelvis, and has lost skin from his back.  He remains in a critical condition at  the Kings College Hospital.  The hospital operated on him today and it is speculated that it might take a long time before he recovers fully.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “The full circumstances of the incident are still under investigation, and officers would like to speak to anyone who was at the station at the time, but has not yet come forward to police.”
