Boko Haram invaded and left Ashaka cement factory with 8 Hilux trucks fully loaded with dynamites

Boko Haram last Tuesday launched attacks on the boarder towns of Nafada and Ashaka in Funakaye Local Governement Area of Gombe State as well as Ngalda.  They were said to have left the Ashaka cement factory with eight Toyota Hilux trucks fully loaded with dynamites.

The residents also claimed that after taking control of the company and the town, gathered them together and preached their strange religious ideology to them and also assured them that they were not in the town to hurt anybody.

The cement firm in a statement by Viola Graham-Douglas agreed that there was intrusion by people who invaded the plant but that the situation has been stabilized.  No injury or damage to the any part of the plant was reported.

However, Mr. Fwaje Atajiri, the head of the Police Command noted that seven people were killed along the Gombe-Potiskum highway,  a police station, the Local Government, and PDP secretariat were all torched.

He also said they were not aware dynamites were taken from the factory but that investigations was on going.
