Osama bin Laden: See the Navy Seal who shot dead Osama bin Laden

The Navy Seal who shot dead Osama bin Laden in Pakistan on 2 May,2011 has been revealed.  He is Rob O'Neill, 38, a highly decorated veteran who has now quit the service after 16 years.
 
He is regarded as one of the most distinguished members of the elite force.  O'Neill who was personally congratulated for killing Osama said he did it by putting three shots to Osama's forehead at close range.

He grew up in Butte, Montana, a former copper mining town and lives in a 2 story home.
 
O'Neill revealed that he joined the Seal at 19 to get over a heart break but never knew he would end up achieving so much.
 
He spent a total of 16 years in active service instead of the mandatory 20 years.  Due to this reason, he would be losing some of his military benefits.
