HIV-Positive pateints protest lack of Anti-retroviral drugs

HIV-Positive patients shut the office of the National Agency for the Control of Aids (NACA) citing their inability to access subsidized anti-retroviral drugs.

The protesters who all came with their bed sheets and other sleeping materials got to the premises of NACA as early as 6am and besieged the office of the Director General of NACA, Prof. John Idoko; and prevented him and other members of staff from entry their offices.  They also threatened to lock up the office for up to 25 days.

Prof. Idoko later came out to appeal to them and assured them that their grievances will be look into.
