It was learnt the deceased had recently returned from hospital in Huston Texa, US where he had gone to receive treatment. He was said to have been getting better but suddenly passed on after complaining of pains in his leg.

The late Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo was a medical doctor who served as Commissioner for Science and Technology in the past state administration.
He left behind a wife and children.
